Walk It OWT 5K Run/Walk

The Physical and Mental Health Committee is all about movement, community, and heart health. In April 2026, the committee successfully hosted its inaugural Walk It OWT 5K Run/Walk, welcoming 173 participants and raising more than $2,000 in support of the American Heart Association. The event helped promote active lifestyles, combat cardiovascular disease, and bring greater awareness to heart health throughout our community.
Black Maternal Health Fair

The Physical and Mental Health Committee proudly hosted its first Black Maternal Health Fair, themed “Centering and Honoring Our Truth.” The event aimed to empower, educate, and foster meaningful connections—all with a focus on improving Black maternal health outcomes.
Attendees engaged with featured vendors and service providers offering resources, education, and support designed to uplift and amplify the voices of Black women in healthcare and wellness. This impactful initiative highlighted the importance of advocacy, awareness, and community in advancing maternal health equity.
